At the beginning of time God created us to have a perfect relationship with Him, to live satisfied in fellowship with Him. The first man and woman made a decision against what God told them to do and that decision broke the relationship between God and man. Since then every person has been separated from God. He knew that; so out of His love and mercy He made a way for us to be united with Him in perfect relationship. He did this by sending part of Himself, His son Jesus, to earth. Jesus came and took the penalty we have earned with the choices we have made against God’s commandments. Through this He offers us His righteousness, His holiness, so that when God looks at us He sees us through the perfection of Christ. That incredible act makes it possible for us to know God personally and live a life with hope and fulfillment in Him both now and after we die.
You may be hurting. You may feel there is something missing. You may wonder if there is a point to life. Whatever the case may be, there is hope found in Christ. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Do you want to know Jesus personally? Seek Him. He offers us an intimate relationship with Him if we humble ourselves, admitting that on our own we will never be good enough to earn His grace. Tell Him in your own words that you believe He is the Son of God and that He is the only way to peace in this life and into eternity. Commit your life to following Him.
