JOIN US IN 40 DAYS OF PRAYER

Day 1:  September 13, 2022 – HIS GLORY Pray that every part of the retreat and the preparation for it, will bring glory to God. “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”  1 Corinthians 10:31b

Day 2:  September 14 , 2022 – INVITING Pray that women who are committed to attend will invite others to come and receive the blessing God has for them. “[May] the sharing of your faith become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” Philemon 6

Day 3:  September 15, 2022 – GOD’S DIRECTION Pray for the planning of the conference to follow God’s plan: logistics, preparation for numbers, volunteers and details of activities. “The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Day 4:  September 16, 2022 – UNITY Pray that the presenting team and church leadership will be united in mind and thought. “Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.” 1 Corinthians 1:10

Day 5:  September 17, 2022 – COURAGE Pray that we will have the courage to obey what God directs us to do, whether it is to invite a friend/neighbor, co-worker to join us or to do something completely out of your comfort zone while we are there. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

Day 6: September 18, 2022 – HUMILITY As we prepare for this conference, pray for God to help us understand we are totally reliant on Him.   “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7

Day 7:  September 19, 2022 – SPIRITUAL PURITY As we prepare for this conference pray that we would be spiritually pure, keeping our thoughts on those things which are worthy of praise. “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Day 8:  September 20, 2022 – CONFESSION Ask God to show us any sin that is preventing us from having our hearts right before Him.  “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” Psalm 139:23-24

Day 9:  September 21, 2022 – PERSEVERANCE THROUGH TRIALS Pray for God to help us endure and overcome the trials and opposition we will face as we grow closer to Him. “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith – more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire – may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:6

Day 10:  September 22, 2022 – SERVING Pray that the gifts God has given each lady who is preparing for this event, both at Mission Baptist and on the In the Midst team, will be used extravagantly to serve the women at this event. “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts.  Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10

Day 11:  September 23, 2022 – PRIORITIES Pray that our priority for this conference would be to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness while trusting Him for the details. “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Jesus) Matthew 6:31-33

Day 12:  September 24, 2022 – UNSHAKABLE FAITH Ask God to help us be secure in our salvation and unshaken in our relationship with Him.  “Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Day 13:  September 25, 2022 – CONFIDENCE Pray that each one in leadership will feel confidence in God’s leadership in every detail …knowing that when we ask for it, He is giving the wisdom we need. “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’” Isaiah 41:13

Day 14:  September 26, 2022 – SERVANT HEARTS Pray that all who are called to meet practical needs for the retreat will do so joyfully. “That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:10

Day 15: September 27, 2022 – OBEDIENCE Pray that the speakers will be obedient to communicate what God has directed.  Pray that those listening will respond in obedience to God’s word. “Jesus replied, ‘But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.’ ” Luke 11:28

Day 16:  September 28, 2022 – ABIDE Pray that as we learn to abide in Christ through prayer, worship, and Bible study, we would live a life of discipleship that bears fruit and looks like Christ who is at work in us. “Whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.” 1 John 2:6

Day 17:  September 29, 2022 – WALK IN THE SPIRIT Pray for God to help us walk in the Spirit, and not in the flesh. “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.” Galatians 5:16-17

Day 18:  September 30, 2022 – OBSTACLES Pray that God will overcome every obstacle the enemy tries to use to keep women from attending and hearing the message God has for then. Praise Him that He is more than able to do that. “I am the LORD who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea.” Isaiah 43:16

Day 19:  October 1, 2022 – LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR Pray that we will love our neighbors and show them the kindness that God shows us even if we don’t yet know the person next to us. “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.” Romans 12:16

Day 20:  October 2, 2022 – MIND OF CHRIST Pray for God to help us put others ahead of ourselves. “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Have this mind amount yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a think to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:3-8

Day 21:  October 3, 2022 – DIVINE REVELATION  Ask the Lord to bless each woman who attends with a fresh and moving revelation of Himself. “For to us God revealed them through the Spirit” 1 Corinthians 2:10a

Day 22:  October 4, 2022 – COMMUNICATION Pray that the truth from God’s Word will be communicated clearly and received in such a way that both speakers and receivers will grow in every way more and more like Christ. “Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of His body, the church.” Ephesians 4:15

Day 23:  October 5, 2022 – SEEKING HEART Pray that the Lord will prepare the heart of each woman who will be attending to come spiritually hungry and earnestly seeking a word from Him and an encounter with Him. “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Day 24:  October 6, 2022 – GOD’S WORD Pray that every word spoken in the teaching will bear witness to the truth of God’s Word. “So shall My word be that goes forth from my mouth.  It shall not return to Me void, but will accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

Day 25:  October 7, 2022 – LOVE Pray that the love of God will saturate and fill every space of every mind and every corner of the buildings we use for this ladies’ conference. “Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.'” Matthew 22:37-39

Day 26:  October 8, 2022 – RESPECT Pray that we will humbly show respect for others even if they have a different viewpoint. Ask that each person will feel comfortable sharing and asking questions in their break-out groups. “Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another for God opposes the proud but give grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5

Day 27:  October 9, 2022 – COMMITMENT  Pray that this event will be like a shot of vitamins to every person attending and will energize them to keep seeking God as well as causing them to renew their commitment to being obedient to God. “So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good.  At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9

Day 28:  October 10, 2022 – SALVATION Thank God for his gift of salvation to you and all that He has done for you. Pray that any who have not yet received this gift would accept what Christ offers them and give their life to Him. “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Day 29:  October 11, 2022 – SPIRITUAL HEARING Pray that the Lord will tune the hearing of each woman in attendance to be attentive and undistracted that she may hear the voice of her Shepherd.  “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”  (Jesus) Matthew 11:15

Day 30:  October 12, 2022 – TEACHABLE SPIRIT Pray that we would have a teachable spirit, not only gaining knowledge, but also being teachable to change our behaviors. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Jesus) Matthew 11:29

Day 31:  October 13, 2022 – HEART OF WORSHIP Pray that during our worship in songs, we would not merely sing the lyrics to the songs but that we would worship God with our whole hearts, that what comes out of our mouths would flow from our relationship with Him. “The Lord says: ‘These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.’” Isaiah 29:13

Day 32:  October 14, 2022 – STAND FOR JESUS Pray women will feel strengthened to trust Jesus and stand for Him in our culture, being confident He will empower them. “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

Day 33:  October 15, 2022 – RENEWAL Pray for renewal of our spirits as participants drink from the well of Jesus’ living Water. “The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” Revelations 22:17

Day 34:  October 16, 2022 – TRUTH Pray that our eyes would be open to see the truth as we study God’s Word and pray so that our minds are transformed and we are set free from the enemy’s lies. “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.” Psalms 25:5

Day 35:  October 17, 2022 – SUBMISSIVE SPIRIT Pray that the enemy will have no ability to influence each woman in attendance and that each one would be willing to lay aside self and submit to the Lord’s will by the leading of His Spirit as He reveals Himself personally and individually.  “Yet, not My will, but Yours be done.” (Jesus) Luke 22:42b

Day 36: October 18, 2022 – PATIENCE In a world that expects immediate results pray that we would be patient in waiting for God to answer our prayers in His timing. “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him” Psalm 37:7a

Day 37:  October 19, 2022 – FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS Pray that family relationships will be made stronger as the women return to their home situations and as they embrace the lessons God has for them to learn. “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” (Jesus) John 17:17-18

Day 38:  October 20, 2022 – JOYFUL FELLOWSHIP Pray that each woman in attendance will leave with a new or renewed, joyful, intimate fellowship with the Lord that will transform them and bring glory to Him in their sphere of influence. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”  2 Corinthians 13:14

Day 39:  October 21, 2022 – RESULTS Pray that salvation and transformation will happen in women’s lives, exceeding what we would ask or imagine. “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.” Ephesians 3:20-21

Day 40:  October 22, 2022 – PUT INTO PRACTICE Pray that each woman will put into practice whatever God shows her at the conference. “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4: 9
